Built on Sound, Not Trends: Raxeller’s Story
The hard industrial techno producer from Alkmaar is all about music over trends
Hailing from Alkmaar, Raxeller forges hard industrial techno with a signature sonic fingerprint defined by raw, dystopian soundscapes and cinematic atmospherics. His productions disassemble the genre’s blueprint through meticulous attention to texture and tension, welding industrial techno’s mechanical precision with hard techno’s visceral impact.
Driven by a desire to operate on his terms and to be recognised for the merit of his work, Raxeller’s prolific output of predominantly self-releases, some of which have gained millions of plays on music streaming platforms, is only dwarfed by the catalogue of non-released tracks – earning him the title ‘King of Unreleased’.
Raxeller’s commitment to creating music from the heart has resonated with a generation that has had to grapple with the lingering consequences of the global pandemic, resulting in a mood characterised by a mix of resilience, disillusionment, and existential uncertainty, as well as a general awareness that stability is illusory. Thus, fuelling a desire for a sound that matches this complex, sometimes contradictory emotional landscape.
Since beginning his journey as a producer in 2010, Raxeller’s work gained more and more support online until attracting the attention of promoters in 2022, which kickstarted his career as a DJ and has allowed him to pursue music full-time. Raxeller has since headlined stages at Free Your Mind, Rotterdam Rave, and Verknipt (Netherlands), HIVE and TeleTech (Germany), Blackworks and Duro (Spain), Katlan (Hungary), HardBeats (Slovenia), DOOM (Colombia). He has also played at prominent European clubs, including DJ Mag 2025 Top 100-rated venues like Bootshaus (Germany) and Fabrik Madrid (Spain) – each performance reinforcing his philosophy that the music should command attention, not the performer.
This ethos also extends to his deliberate avoidance of social media posturing. In an era of algorithmic pressures and fleeting trends, Raxeller focuses on the true essence – celebrating the music and connecting with the people.
