In this interview, Kallaghan discusses his musical journey, giving an insider’s look into his current projects.
Hi Kallaghan! How’s everything been?
Hi! Everything has been fantastic. I'm in a very creative phase right now with lots of exciting projects and performances lined up.
Reflecting on your musical journey from Rock and Punk to an Electronic act, how have your experiences shaped the music you're creating now?
My journey from Rock and Punk to Electronic music has been incredibly influential in shaping my sound. The raw energy and intensity of Rock and Punk have carried over into my electronic productions, giving them a unique edge. I love blending the powerful, rebellious spirit of rock with the innovative and dynamic elements of Electronic Music. This fusion allows me to create tracks that are both energetic and emotionally resonant.
With the landscape of Electronic Music changing, what are some styles, instruments, or software you are experimenting with in your current projects?
I'm always exploring new styles and techniques. Recently, I've been experimenting with modular synthesis and incorporating more analog gear into my setup. This has allowed me to create richer, more textured sounds. I’m also integrating more live instruments, like guitars and drums, into my electronic tracks to add a live, organic feel. On the software side, I’m constantly testing out new plugins and DAWs to see what innovative tools can enhance my production process.
With your passion for producing and working with Rock bands, do you anticipate any collaborations with a blend of Rock in your future performances?
Absolutely. I just dropped a DnD remix of “Popular Monster” by Falling in Reverse. I’ve always loved blending different genres, and I think incorporating live Rock elements into my electronic performances can create a unique and powerful experience. I’m already in discussions with some Rock singers and bands about potential collaborations that we can bring to the stage. It’s an exciting way to merge my roots with my current musical direction.
Are there any artists, vocalists, or producers you're currently working with or hope to collaborate with in the near future?
Yes, I just worked with Emmi K. for my next single “Dance Again” coming out this summer on STNS (Insomniac Music group). Incredible voice! I also produced vocals for Falling In Reverse ft Jelly Roll, Tech 9, and Alex the Terrible this year.
Having already gained a reputation as a Producer, with Billboard charting success, what milestones do you hope to achieve next?
One of my next big goals is to headline major music festivals and continue to grow my international presence as Kallaghan. I also aim to expand Grail Records, signing more innovative artists and releasing groundbreaking music. Additionally, I want to work on projects that push the boundaries of music production and live performances, constantly challenging myself and my audience.
Can you share some of your memorable moments from your recent shows?
There have been so many incredible moments, but one that stands out is performing at the EDC Mexico. The energy of the crowd was electric, and the setting of the festival was magical.
Could you give us a sneak peek into your upcoming podcast, ‘The French Roast’?

Looking to the future, where do you see your career progressing within Electronic Music in the next five years?
In the next five years, I see myself continuing to innovate and push the boundaries of Electronic Music. I want to expand my reach globally, perform at iconic venues and festivals, and continue to grow Grail Records. I’m also excited about the potential for more cross-genre collaborations and exploring new sounds. Ultimately, I want to keep evolving as an artist and bring fresh, exciting music to my fans.
