The largest collection of night club flyers consists of 113,012 fyers and belongs to Marco Brusadelli (Italy), from Cisano Bergamasco, Italy, who started his collection in 1991.
Marco started collecting Rave and Club flyers in 1991. His collection includes only flyers of the major clubs, parties and DJs associated to electronic music and its subgenres, such as house, techno, trance, hardcore, progressive, drum’n’bass, EDM and afro/cosmic. All flyers are perfectly sorted by country, party/rave and dimension. Marco thinks that his collection represents very well the history of modern electronic music from 1985 until now.
Marco collaborated with different websites and discussion forums on many projects related to flyers. Today flyers are considered an important expression of contemporary art, as there are many books, magazines, websites, galleries and exhibitions that celebrate them. All DJs, promoters, art directors, graphic designers, flyer collectors, clubbers and ravers all over the world are involved in this form of art. Marco hopes that his passion will inspire new generations to learn more about the history of “house & techno revolution.
To be able to participate to the Guinness World Record is a dream that has come true for Marco. When he was younger he was given a Guinness World Records book by his parents every Christmas. He used to tell himself that one day I would have been part of it.
