Washington, DC club Soundcheck will close in January 2026.
Announcing the news in an Instagram post, the club's team wrote: “After a decade of unforgettable nights, Soundcheck will be saying goodbye this January. Soundcheck opened its doors in 2015, and quickly became a space where DC’s electronic scene found a weekly escape when there were few at the time. It became a pillar of dance music on the East Coast, a home where global icons played up close, and local artists found their first spotlight.”
The club also confirmed that it would be hosting a final run of parties from December to January, dubbed the Last Call Closing Series, and teased that something new would ultimately be on the horizon for the team. “We can’t wait to dance, celebrate, and make these final months some of the most special yet," they wrote. "The energy, the music, the family we’ve built; it’s all evolving into something bigger. When one era comes to and end, another takes control."
Line-ups for the closing series are not yet announced, but sign-up for info and early tickets is now live here.
Earlier this year, Soundcheck was voted No.57 in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs poll for 2025.
Recent bookings at the club have included Disclosure, Sam Blacky, Aminé, Baalti, Dimitri Vegas, Chris Lake and Hamdi.
