1. Spazio 900 – Rome, Italy

Inside the Palazzo dell’Arte Antica stands the 1400 sqm, SPAZIO NOVECENTO. Spazio 900 is equipped with elegance and versatility, featuring white marble within the interior and two scenic terraces. The club is located in one of the most modern districts in the world and is a short distance from the center of Rome. The club is also connected to the airport of Fiumicino and to the GRA (Grande Raccordo Anulare). Overall, the building is not only great for clubs but for events all year round.

2. Neo Club – Rome, Italy

A small, dark two-level club that has an underground feel. Neo Club features funky zones as well as a dancefloor that plays a variety of old-school house, techno, and breakbeat. Some nights are also dedicated to minimal, electro, and progressive music. Most listed DJs at Neo Club have been Marco Rea, Mauritzio, Emix, Flavio Rago, and Luca Cucchetti.

Duel has been kicking out beats in the Bagnoli area of town since 2005 when this former N.A.T.O. military base church-turned-cinema was reborn with a dancefloor. Shuttered from March 2020 due to the pandemic, it has since been used for education and art projects but has reopened in October 2021 with a new nine-piece projection system, intimidating Loud Professional rig, plastic-free policy, and residents roster including Clemente Loffredo, SDN, and Rebecca Delle Piane.

Open for over three decades in downtown Barcelona, Nitsa is a nightclub housed inside the Sala Apolo. Pacha is described as an “exclusive and elegant” club that specializes in attracting a wide variety of people who listen to all different kinds of music. Pacha has three different areas; the main dancefloor is inside playing house and electronic music, the Red Room is inside playing traditional Spanish party music called Pachangueo, and the Terrace outside, just steps from the beach, is home to hip-hop and r&b.

10. La Terrrazza – Barcelona Spain

La Terrrazza is an open-air club on the mountain of Montjuic in Barcelona with a focus on playing house and techno. The venue prides itself on its decor, reflected in its location in a historic part of town. The club is open for the summer season—May through until September—and is a focal point during the annual Sonar festival, with London promoters Secretsundaze traditionally staging events there, as well as follow-up parties later in the summer.

13. Macarena Club – Barcelona Spain

The Macarena Club is an intimate house and techno club right in the heart of the Gotico neighborhood of Barcelona. Macarena is famous for its super limited capacity—80 people—and DJ booth that is located in the middle of the dance floor. The music program is generally looked after in-house but also features guest labels and promoters. The club is usually open seven days per week.

14. MOOG Club – Barcelona Spain

Since its beginning in 1996, Moog has stood out for its comprehensive, high-level programming. With its underground atmosphere, Disco City hall is known as one of the top venues that specialize in techno and house music. Without losing its original construction, the club’s building has been restored to create a more modern and sophisticated environment with theatre elevators and velvet curtains. Disco City hall has also paid special attention to the technical side by featuring a “MARTIN AUDIO” sound system, 48 channel digital mixer, 14 illumination mobiles, high-level microphones, and a rear cyclorama.

Also known as its previous venue Kaos Klub, Eden is considered the cornerstone of Ibiza with Defected, Paul van Dyk‘s Shine, Wndrlnd, and Terminal 4 Presents Tronic. With its current owners at the reins since 2013, they’ve been steadily building the world-renowned brand that started in 1999. Although the club took a hiatus in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, Eden is coming in strong in 2022 with events during February (Eden Presents De La Swing), April (Eden X Coalition, Lola Lo X Eden — Jess Bays, Defected Opening Party), and May (Defected #2).

17. DC-10 – Ibiza, Spain

Considered one of Ibiza’s notable, ‘underground’ clubs. While many clubs choose to promote, DC-10 has a different approach by always managing to keep things a little secretive.DC-10 relies on an ‘in-the-know’ ethos. Holding particular favor with locals and international clubbers, the club’s opening and closing parties are considered legendary. Among Spain’s largest and most celebrated clubbing experiences. Fabrik is comprised of six rooms with differing vibes — but all boasting top-notch soundsystem. The club has become a staple in the European clubbing scene. Among the crowning achievements of Fabrik is techno night and CODE that turned 18 years old in November 2021. CODE has played host to all the top names over the years, from Carl Cox, Aphex Twin, Underworld, The Chemical Brothers, Paul Kalkbrenner, and Richie Hawtin. 19. Hï Ibiza – Balearic Islands, Spain

Located in the heart of Ibiza clubland, Playa d’en Bossa. Hï Ibiza stays true to the spirit of Ibiza, bringing together music lovers to dance. Within the club, Room One’s Italian amphitheater-inspired setup is arguably the biggest selling point, a space boasting room with technologically advanced production gear, and a custom-built Adamson soundsystem. Room Two contrasts of a more underground vibe with its lower-ceiling and sparse vivid lighting. Last but not least, the Wild Corner is an unofficial third club hidden in the club’s unisex bathroom. 20. The Warehouse Project – Manchester, UK

Led by local nightlife entrepreneurs Sacha Lord and Sam Kandel — who also run Parklife festival — The Warehouse Project has a unique approach with line-ups that reach all corners of electronic music, rotating within a limited three-month window. Events have been curated by Caribou, Annie Mac, and Jamie XX over the years, while collaborations with brands such as Rush Hour, elrow, and Defected are a core part of the brand’s appeal. For 2022, The Warehouse Project will feature DJ performances such as: Bklava, Joe Motion, Prospa, Kessler, MK, Paul Woolford, Detlef b2b Latmun, Emily Nash, DJ SEINFELD (with a special guest), Armin Van Buuren (with special guests), and SOFIA KOURTESIS (with special guests).

21. Tobacco Dock – London, UK

From luxury imports to tech launches, Tobacco Dock has been at the center of hosting all manner of commodities for over two centuries. Since its relaunch in 2012, Tobacco Dock has developed a reputation as being the leading destination venue in London. Due to its abundance of space in various sizes, Tobacco Dock has utilized its rooftop and skylight bar for many events and exhibitions. In 2021, Tobacco Dock ran two days with LWE’s Junction 2: Inner City parties at the end of August with the likes of Adam Beyer, Charlotte de Witte, Dixon, Amelie Lens, and rising underground techno artists such as: Afrodeutsche, Jay Duncan, OK Williams, and Yu Su.

22. Ministry of Sound – London, UK

With three decades of dance, Ministry of Sound has stayed on top of its game by paying constant attention to the wants of its followers. A large clutch of loyal nights have been the true crowd pleasers in recent years, like sparkling house purveyors Glitterbox and Defected, Groove Odyssey, Toolroom Records, Horse Meat Disco, and Milkshake. As a world-class London landmark, Ministry of Sound features Martin Audio ground stack speakers that surround their dancefloor. It also has one of the largest outside spaces for a club in London.

23. E1 Club – London, UK

Situated by East London’s historic Tobacco Dock, bordering the quiet neighborhood of Wapping, E1 radiates calmness from the outside; inside, of course, is a different matter. The venue underwent major changes to the soundsystem and interior architecture in 2017, allowing it to be spread across two main rooms: the Warehouse and Black Studio. After a few years of garnering a name for itself, “the venue moved away from pop-up events and invested in a world-class soundsystem, installed by long-term partners Sound Services, featuring a bespoke Funktion-One system and each interior space optimized for a precise, powerful, full-frequency-range acoustic experience,” says Fraser Bush of E1. Since then, E1 has featured the likes of: Juan Atkins, My Nu Leng, Heartless Crew, Ellen Allien, Adriatique, and Solardo.

24. District 8 – Dublin, Ireland

A hotel that now stands in place of the 1,000+ capacity venue, where Sunil Sharpe, DVS1, Helena Hauff, R.Kitt, DART, Kelly Anne Byrne, Breen, Cáit, Sam Greenwood, and Sim Simma, have all played alongside local talents such as: Cailín, Aeron XTC, and Mode_1. District 8 considers their club a dedicated space for everyone to freely enjoy music. As a judgment-free zone, District 8 views music as a power source that can unify people of all backgrounds.

25. Sub Club – Glasgow, Scotland

Operating as a speakeasy jazz venue in the late ’50s and taking on several guises since, Sub Club has been part of the Scottish dance music establishment since 1987. It has spurted out an excess of internationally renowned residents such as: Harri & Domenic, SLAM, Eclair Fifi, and Sensu, all of which who secured the venue as a permanent fixture on the clubbing map. Despite the capacity only fitting 420 people, this doesn’t take away the strong energy that roars from a decked-out, powerful Martin Audio Soundsystem. For upcoming events, Dan Shake & Rebecca Vasmant graces Sub Club’s basement on February 18th, 2022.

26. Rex Club – Paris, France

The history of the Rex Club spans decades. The historic building known as the Grand Rex originally opened its doors as a cinema in 1932, and 40 years later, the downstairs area that was once home to the orchestra became a new home for dancers; then, Rex Club was born. In the mid-’80s Rex Club became the best spot in town for alternative music, from rock and funk to punk and new wave. Rex Club’s first electronic music night came about in 1988. The Club is synonymous with the legendary Laurent Garnier and his Wake Up parties that ran from ’92 to ’99, and as of now, the club’s residents include the likes of: Leo Pol, Myd, Folamour, Darzak, Mad Rey, DJ Deep, D’Julz, Chloé, Traumer, Molly, and Mézigue.

27. Berghain/Panorama Bar – Berlin, Germany

Founded in 2004 by two seasoned promoters: Norbert Thormann and Michael Teufele, Berghain transformed into a former power plant into a soundsystem that is now known as the ‘rite of passage’ within the techno community. Popular for its strict door policy, Berghain still remains a staple for ravers and artists alike. As with many clubs that adapted from the pandemic, Berghain still shows its prevailing nature with plans for 2022.

28. Bootshaus – Cologne, Germany

German for Boathouse — was once exactly that, a storage facility for boats on the eastern bank of the Rhine in Cologne. The space was reinvented over 17 years ago, however, as a venue for electronic music, Bootshaus has since become a true destination club for those seeking big beats and a boisterous atmosphere. Bootshaus is known for hosting everything from EDM, techno, psytrance, and hardstyle. Throughout the years, a combination of every major artist, as well as many upcoming artists, has performed at Bootshaus. With resident DJs such as: Autodrive, Björn Grimm, Björn Torwellen, Brandon, Dave Replay, Elle Rich, Emin, Kevin Arnold, Marco Franica, Oliver Magenta, and Shippo, it’s no wonder why Bootshaus has crowds that flock there for its boisterous atmosphere.

29. Papaya Club – Zrće Beach, Croatia

As a completely open-air, shell-like main stage, Papaya Club is considered one of the world’s most renowned beach clubs. Since opening as a sister venue to Papaya Zagreb in 2002, Papaya Club has helped put Croatia on the clubbing map by hosting famous pool parties for six hours a day. Papaya Club is also known for hosting notable festivals such as:  Hideout, Sonus, and Fresh Island, alongside a killer resident team such as: Kosta Radman, Trevon, and Tony D.

30. Culture Club Revelin – Dubrovnik, Croatia

Know for its historic architecture, Culture Club Revelin had its 500-year-old fortress that was transformed in 2010 into now one of the world’s most unique party spaces. The club is covered in vast, three-meter-thick walls, and grand look-out towers, all of which display high-tech lighting and a Martin Audio line array soundsystem. The residents play a combination of house, tech, and bass while headliners are world-renowned names like Roger Sanchez and Pete Tong.

31. Yalta Club – Sofia, Bulgaria

The roots of Yalta Club can be traced back to 1959 when it opened its doors for the first time. Right after the fall of communism in 1989, Yalta became the first place in Bulgaria dedicated to electronic music. The club has since served as a home away from home for some of techno and house music’s top names, including Ricardo Villalobos, Adam Beyer, Hernan Cattaneo, and plenty more. The club’s aim is to bring top house, techno acts, and everything in between to the Bulgarian capital.

32. MAD Club – Lausanne, Switzerland

Short for “Moulin a Danse” (dance mill), MAD has grown plenty throughout the years. Compromised of a massive five-story complex that includes four dancefloors, the restaurant: Le Chandelier, a steampunk theme, and an L-Acoustics Soundsystem, the club fuels the late nights with a hyped atmosphere. As for The main floor, it has seen sets from Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez, Loco Dice, and Marco Carola over the years. During February 17-19 2022, MAD graces their stage from the talents of: DJ Don Pepe, Fabian Air (Feb 17th), DJ Othello (Feb 18th), and DJ Don Pepe, DJ Nika, DJ Darka (Feb 19th).

33. Cavo Paradiso – Mykonos, Greece

Italian for ‘hollow paradise’, the Greek club phrases their name after their impressive location space on the Aegean. Nestled on the side of a cliff above Paradise Beach, Cavo Paradiso opened its doors in 1993 as a sunset bar without a proper road to even reach the secluded setting. The club has since morphed into an internationally acclaimed venue, with artists spanning from Adam Beyer to Skrillex, with their goal to attract a diverse crowd of revelers.
