Lady Gaga has revealed details of her upcoming album, 'MAYHEM', which is partly inspired by industrial dance and electronic music. Listen to singles 'Disease' and 'Die With a Smile', featuring Bruno Mars, below.
This will be the pop star's seventh studio album. Set for release on 7th March, it will see her return to her dance-influenced pop roots. It features 14 tracks, including the 2024 singles 'Die With a Smile', featuring Bruno Mars, and 'Disease'. It includes production by Gesaffelstein, Andrew Watt and Cirkut, as well as Lady Gaga herself, plus executive production credits for Michael Polansky, Andrew Watt and Gaga again.
"The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved", Lady Gaga said in a press statement. She told the LA Times last month she "loved collaborating with all the DJs and Gesaffelstein on my new album", adding: "I loved learning about industrial music and about all the different crevices of electronic music... [The album] leaps around genre in a way that's almost corrupt. And it ends with love."
Lady Gaga will release the third single from 'MAYHEM' on 2nd February, during the Grammy Awards broadcast, with tracklist details to follow at a future date.
Gesaffelstein released his third studio album, 'Gamma', in March last year and collaborated with Charli XCX on the track 'B2b'.
Listen to 'Disease' and 'Die With a Smile'.
