Detroit's Movement festival has revealed a first wave of names for 2025.
Artists set to perform at Hart Plaza over Memorial Day Weekend 2025 include Sama' Abdulhadi, HiTech, DJ Gigola, Chase & Status, Sammy Virji, Marcel Dettmann, DJ Nobu, Patrick Topping and DJ Gigola. Carl Cox will bring his new, hybrid-live set to the riverside stage, and John Summit will close out the festival on May 26th.
“Movement is a techno institution in Detroit so for me, it’s like reuniting with an old friend," Cox shared in a press release. "I’m going to make up for the years I’ve missed with a show that’s going to send Detroit to another dimension!”
Next year marks Movement's 19th anniversary—the event began as a free festival platforming primarily local acts, but has expanded into an internationally-renowned nexus of Midwestern techno. Last year's programme featured the likes of Dee Diggs, Masters At Work, Honey Dijon, Delano Smith, DJ Holographic, Floorplan, Solomun, Jayda G and Seth Troxler.
