Tomorrowland has announced its debut hard techno event. The inaugural all-nighter will take a place at Waagnate, Antwerp on Friday 22nd November.
The new 4,000 capacity event, Atmosphere, has also confirmed its line-up, with sets from Alignment, Azyr, Byørn b2b Vido, Holy Priest, Nico Moreno and Novah.
Taking its name from the hard techno stage at Tomorrowland's https://djmag.com/cover-features/vintage-culture-discovering-promised-land flagship festival in Boom, Belgium, organisers say the sound has increased in visibility, representation and popularity at the world-famous weekender over many years. This reflects a wider trend, with a 40,000 capacity gathering in Amsterdam this summer claiming to be the largest in the genre's history.
This year's Tomorrowland saw Sara Landry become the first hard techno DJ to play the festival's main stage. A month earlier, the event was voted World's No.1 Festival 2024 in the fourth DJ Mag Top 100 Festivals poll.
Tickets for Atmosphere go on pre-sale Tuesday 1st October at 17.00 CET, before General Sale begins Thursday 3rd October at 17.00 CET.
Earlier this week, Tomorrowland released We Are Tomorrow, a new documentary produced with Amazon Music which follows four people around the main festival's 2024 edition, including Brazilian DJ Vintage Culture.
