So, today, we’re sitting down with the talented Cammora to learn more about what his 2024 will bring, discussing his goals for the year and the ways in which he hopes to grow as an Artist. With 2023 having delivered a collection of impressive releases from the skilled Producer, we’re excited to discover more about Cammora's release schedule, eagerly looking forward to the next powerful production that he is sure to drop soon.

 

What musical direction or theme are you most excited to explore in your upcoming projects for the new year, and why does it resonate with you?

In the upcoming year, I'm particularly excited about pushing the boundaries of blending styles and genres in my music. I believe music is a universal language, and I aim to create tracks that not only resonate musically but also convey meaningful messages through their lyrics. The focus will be on crafting songs that speak about various issues, resonating with listeners on a deeper level. This direction excites me because it allows me to connect more intimately with my audience, using the power of music to address and reflect on experiences, or thoughts that many of us go through.

 

As you enter the new year, what goals have you set for your music career, and how do you plan to work towards achieving them?

As we enter the new year, my primary goal remains to release music that truly connects with my audience. In 2024, I plan to shift from releasing singles to putting out more EPs, as I have a substantial volume of new material ready. EPs will allow me to showcase this range of new work more effectively. 

Additionally, a significant goal for me is to launch my own music label. This move is aimed at gaining greater control over my release schedules, thereby avoiding the delays often encountered when coordinating with multiple record companies. To achieve these objectives, I'm dedicating a lot of time to the studio, honing my sound, and ensuring that each release is a true reflection of my artistic vision.

 

Can you provide a glimpse into any specific releases or milestones we can expect from you in the early months of the new year?

In the early months of 2024, fans can look forward to some exciting releases. A hot club tune is in the pipeline, a fresh collaboration with Jude & Frank. We've had a fantastic synergy in our past releases, and this new track is set to continue that trend with its vibrant energy. 

Additionally, I'm reuniting with Gregorio for a special release that revisits our unique peak-hour Afro-Tech sound, which I'm confident will be a hit on the dance floors. 

Also, keep an ear out for a powerful Tech House tune that I'll be dropping through Piero Pirupa's imprint. 

These releases are just the beginning of what I believe will be an incredible year of music.

 

Reflecting on your musical journey, what lessons from the past year do you intend to carry forward to ensure growth and success in the new year?

The past year has been instrumental in shaping my approach for the new year. One key lesson I've learned is the importance of adaptability and openness to new ideas. The music industry is constantly evolving and staying flexible helps in navigating these changes effectively. Additionally, maintaining a healthy work-life balance is crucial. The demands of a music career can be intense but taking time for personal well-being ensures sustainability and creativity in the long run. Carrying these lessons forward, I'm committed to growing both as an Artist and as an individual.

 

Are there any new techniques, equipment, or software innovations you plan to incorporate into your music production process in the new year?

I plan to experiment with new techniques and tools in my music production process. I have already started removing older sound libraries, plugins and VSTs and replacing them with the latest sounds from alternative sound libraries and plugins that offer advanced sound design capabilities. Additionally, I'm keen on integrating more hardware synthesizers into my setup for a richer, more organic sound.

Experimenting with these new tools will allow me to enhance my tracks' depth and texture, keeping my sound fresh and innovative. These technological advancements are not just about staying current, they're about pushing the boundaries of what's possible in music production.

 

Are there any artists you hope to collaborate with in the coming year, and what kind of creative synergy do you envision?

I would be very excited about the prospect of collaborating with AWEN. Her music resonates with me deeply, capturing the essence of the soul and embodying strength in both voice and character. AWEN's fearless approach to themes like love, loss, identity, and beauty is truly inspiring. Her ability to transcend genres, moving effortlessly between soulful Afro-House and deep spiritual Trip-Hop, aligns perfectly with my own style of blending genres. I envision a creative synergy where our combined talents could lead to producing music that's emotionally rich and genre-defying. 

 

How do you see your sound evolving in the new year? Are there any genres or musical elements you aim to incorporate or experiment with?

While my background is deeply rooted in club tracks, I aim to expand beyond this, embracing a broader spectrum that includes more laid-back, introspective sounds. This expansion will not only diversify my repertoire but also allow me to experiment with more nuanced, textural soundscapes. The goal is to create music that resonates on various levels, suitable for both energetic club environments and more relaxed, intimate settings. 

 

How do you plan to manage your time and resources effectively to pursue your musical ambitions?

I will try to maintain a structured schedule for studio work and collaborations. I will prioritize projects that align with my career goals and keep a careful budget for expenses like studio time and new equipment. I cannot see another way of balancing my career demands while focusing on creating impactful music!

 

What do you hope your music will communicate or evoke in your listeners in the new year? Is there a particular message or emotion you wish to convey through your work?

In the new year, I hope my music will delve into more complex themes, aiming to resonate on a deeper level with my listeners. I want my work to evoke a range of emotions and provoke thought, encouraging listeners to connect with the music on a personal level. The goal is to create a sonic journey that not only entertains but also offers a meaningful experience, exploring themes that are relatable and evocative. Through my music, I wish to convey messages that reflect life's intricacies, joys, and challenges, ultimately creating a profound and lasting impact.

 

As you step into the new year, what are your overall aspirations as a DJ/Producer, and what impact do you hope to have on the Electronic music industry and your audience?

My aspiration as a DJ/Producer is to innovate and influence the Electronic Music industry. I aim to introduce fresh, emotionally resonant sounds, blending diverse influences to create a unique musical experience. My goal is to impact both the genre and my audience, offering immersive experiences that uplift and inspire. I hope to leave a lasting mark on the Electronic Music scene, contributing meaningfully to its evolution and connecting deeply with my listeners.
