In anticipation of the upcoming year, DJ, music Producer and label manager Manu P shares insights into his musical direction and aspirations for 2024. With a focus on House and Tech House sounds, he plans to continue his journey with The Cage event brand and The Cage Music label, delving deeper into the genres he's passionate about; his main goal is clear – to achieve greatness in his music career, and to do so with hard work and effort; but through selective collaborations and his signature sound, Manu P aims to uplift and entertain his audience, leaving his own mark on the Electronic music industry in the new year.

 

What musical direction or theme are you most excited to explore in your upcoming projects for the new year, and why does it resonate with you?

I want to continue the path I have taken with my event brand The Cage and with the label The Cage Music, experimenting more and more with the House and Tech House sounds that I like.

 

As you enter the new year, what goals have you set for your music career, and how do you plan to work towards achieving them?

I only have one goal, and it is the maximum one. The rest is just a path to get there. Then, I work every day to get there.

 

Can you provide a glimpse into any specific releases or milestones we can expect from you in the early months of the new year?

I'll have a Mihalis Safras remix in February/March, then we'll release a new edit with Andrea, since the one we released, an edit of Donna Summer’s ‘Heaven Knows’ was heavily played by Purple Disco Machine.

 

Reflecting on your musical journey, what lessons from the past year do you intend to carry forward to ensure growth and success in the new year?

You have to be yourself and respect everyone, but carefully select your collaborators.

 

Are there any new techniques, equipment, or software innovations you plan to incorporate into your music production process in the new year?

I recently bought a new console made up of a DJM A9 and a CDJ3000, for the moment, I'd say that's enough.

 

Are there any artists you hope to collaborate with in the coming year, and what kind of creative synergy do you envision?

There are several artists I hope to collaborate with, especially in the Tech House scene. Maybe soon I'll come out on their labels... who knows :)

 

How do you see your sound evolving in the new year? Are there any genres or musical elements you aim to incorporate or experiment with?

I don't think it changes too much, I like what I do, that is House and Tech House, and that will be it.

How do you plan to manage your time and resources effectively to pursue your musical ambitions?

Very simple: all in to reach the set target.

 

What do you hope your music will communicate or evoke in your listeners in the new year? Is there a particular message or emotion you wish to convey through your work?

I want the people who listen to my music to be excited and entertained when they do it and to enjoy the evening when they see me play live.

 

As you step into the new year, what are your overall aspirations as a DJ/Producer, and what impact do you hope to have on the Electronic music industry and your audience?

I hope to reach my goal as soon as possible, as I mentioned earlier.
