Georgia Lee is the latest artist to join Sisko Electrofanatik’s Gain Records, and her release Distorted Love also features individual remixes by Sisko Electrofanatik and Ida Mandato.
An Italian artist living in Rome, Georgia Lee has built a successful DJ career within the Italian underground scene. She has been a resident and regular booking at events and venues including the likes of Circolo Degli Artisti, Amigdala and Roboterie. She has built an in-depth knowledge of how to enrapture a dance floor, and played alongside international techno icons ranging from Ellen Allien to Regis.
Sisko Electrofanatik provides a remix on this release, and it’s an impressive rework that’s on par with what he has signed to labels like Terminal M, Intec and Codex. He is an extremely skilled producer, and this remix is a very slick interpretation of Georgia Lee’s dark and driving original.
Ida Mandato is another Italian DJ who is well known within Rome’s underground techno scene. She has also released her EBM influenced style on record labels including Pyteca, Diffuse Reality and LETS TECHNO records.
“Distorted Love” is the solo original by Georgia Lee, it’s a dark an ominous track with tense pads leading to the suspense of a euphoric breakdown, before the drums hit back in alongside an acid line. Sisko Electrofanatik’s remix thickens the original’s bass, kick drum, and acid line, while also adding additional synth stabs and an even more euphoric synth to the breakdown. Sisko Electrofanatik’s version stays true to the original, but Ida Mandato’s remix brings new flavour. Ida Mandato works in a new and more prominent acid line, while also adding industrial percussion hits, and she also removes the euphoria from the breakdown.
