Lake Hills Premieres New Track "SMS"

Hailing from Los Angeles, Splitchecks Co-Founder Lake Hills ends recent fall tour with an upcoming four-track EP ‘Chrome’. The release arrives on SXN following the lead single and title track ‘Chrome’, an immersive offering that perfectly welcomes listeners into the murky after-hours environment. Building the foundation with thick primal drum loops, followed by a company of distorted synths that intertwine for a hypnotic, dreamlike experience.
Next is ‘SMS’, opening with hypnotic percussive layers and ever-evolving bleeping melodies, this track takes us deeper as the second half introduces sensuous coded vocal loops that fill the soundscape and dissolve gradually to the track’s finish.
‘Permanent’ invites an off-kilter snare to the party while blending addictive drum patterns, all laced with a nostalgic lead melody. Wrapping up the project is ‘Pay Online’, a deep and carnal ride with a flickering bass and kicks combined with a swinging melody and frenzy of organic textures. Pairing elements of techno, murky soundscapes, textured sampling, and addictive melodies, Lake Hills delivers another solid body of work via the ‘Chrome’ EP.
