Peak-Time Fusion: K LSY Returns to Mantide with ‘Les Crepes’
The Italian duo bridges the gap between House and Techno with a high-energy, acid-infused two-tracker.
K LSY are an Italian duo whose new techno focused release, Les Crepes, comes via Dyno’s record label Mantide.
This is the third time that K LSY have featured on Mantide, and it includes two upbeat tracks with driving energy and feel-good vibes.
Making use of acid synths, punchy drums, and standout vocals, both of the boisterous tracks on this release ooze dance floor energy.
In addition to their music on Mantide, K LSY have also featured on the Sonoros imprint. Their sound is usually house music orientated, but this time they show off their techno side.
The opening track, “Step On,” is straight up techno, with the shouting chants of the namesake vocal being carried forth by a throbbing bassline and acid stabs.
Next up is the title track, “Les Crepes,” taps into K LSY’s more traditional house music style, but at 130 BPM it still overlaps into techno territory. Acid pulses and sensual vocals overlay a strong kick drum; while juddering stabs add a shuffle to the groove.
Both of these party-starting tracks have peak time energy that fuses the funk of house with the energy of techno.
