Riding this "new wave" of psychedelic minimal techno are many up and coming producers, and one of the stand out talents to recently emerge is German producer Berto (DE). His debut SW release is “New Wave”, an EP of selects featuring stomping and driving minimal techno that covers a satisfying spectrum of dark energy and trippy atmospheric soundscapes sure to satisfy all purveyors of this subgenre. The title track features a powerful kick and dark bass combination that carries such melody and storytelling strength, that just these elements alone keep the track’s captivating groove, mood, and energy from start to finish. This demonstrates the true beauty and strength of minimal techno – that so much can be said with such few elements. The B-Side track "Game Over" is a flippy minimal number with some touches of electronic. True to his style, dark ambience accompanies throughout the entire sound, with a feeling of limitless groove and enjoyment. And the game is far from over…Berto has a hefty arsenal of minimal techno in the works, and more coming out soon on Shadow Wulf's forthcoming Vol. 4 VA compilation.

Returning to the pack on remix duties for New Wave is French talent Le Son Du Placard with a remix of the EP’s title track. The EP has pre-orders available now and releases January 12th.
