Kristian Heikkila and CDTRAX Unite on ‘Between Parallels’ EP
The two producers combine dark atmospheres, driving rhythms, and industrial energy across four techno tracks.
Kristian Heikkila and CDTRAX come together to collaborate on their new techno EP, Between Parallels.
It’s a striking release that combines the expertise of two accomplished producers. Each artist comes with a pedigree, Kristian Heikkila is a Swedish veteran with two decades of releases on prestigious labels, including Pan-Pot's Second State. CDTRAX is a UK-based artist who has only been releasing music for a few years, but he already has an impressive catalogue, including imprints such as Dense & Pika's Kneaded Pains.
Together, they have released collaborative music through the likes of Hertz’s SWAY, and this release is out on, Konstruktion.
"Detox" is first up, combining haunting pads and intense drums with throbbing stabs to unleash a torrent of energy.
“Vibe Injector” is a murky track with eerie textures bursting forth from the depth of its dark atmosphere, while a rolling bass and hammering kick propel the track forward.
“Toxic” is a boisterous techno track, layering a hulking bassline with soulful vocals and industrial stabs.
“Sphere” ends the release with spellbinding vocal bursts, layered alongside clunky percussion hits, and slicing hi-hats.
The release has already earned support from DJs including The Advent, Arnaud Le Texier, Marco Bailey, Slam, and numerous others.
