EdiP's Records Got There First, He's Bringing Them Around The World
The Romanian producer built his name in Ibiza, Amsterdam and across Asia.
Plenty of dancers have heard EdiP before they have seen him. His remix of John Summit's 'Focus' went out on Summit's Playa Package, a set of reworks built for a sunrise set at Burning Man, and his tracks have played out at Club Space Miami before he has. Early 2027 closes that gap. The Romanian DJ and producer is preparing to make his North American touring debut, bringing those records to the booth in person.
His sound started at home. Born Edi Preduca, EdiP came up in Bucharest, a city known worldwide for its minimal scene. He first appeared on RA in 2017 and worked his way through Nook, Grădina Monteoru, SAGA Festival and Sunwaves. He shared the Nook booth with Blackchild in 2023 and played Electric Castle in 2025. Those years taught him patience. His tracks lean on groove and space the way Romanian minimal does, then add the punch of tech house.
The approach caught on fast. He ranked sixth on Beatport's top minimal artists list for 2023 and 2024 and hit his first Beatport number one with 'Nuthin' On', made with Chicks Luv Us for Kaluki Musik. Releases on Experts Only, Insomniac Records, Catch & Release and Club Sweat followed, and industry titans Seth Troxler, Ilario Alicante, Marco Carola and Joseph Capriati have all backed his records, alongside FISHER, Summit and Mau P.
This summer brought the breakthrough. Summit booked him for Experts Only at UNVRS in June, making him the first Romanian artist to play the club. He returned weeks later for FISHER's residency, and his set from that night now runs in the New Horizons series from UNVRS and 1001Tracklists. For EdiP, the island rewards risk. "I feel like Ibiza is about underground culture, trying out new tracks in a set, and experimenting a lot with music," he told 1001Tracklists.
That instinct to read the room runs through every set. Before a major show he builds a big playlist and uses the star ratings in Rekordbox to sort tracks by intensity. He never locks the order. "Every party is different, and the plan you make at home is not 100% accurate to what's actually going to happen," he said.
Summit has become his biggest ally in the studio too. After 'Focus', Summit came back for a second remix. EdiP's version of Summit and LAVINIA's 'Shadows' came out on Experts Only on October 16. "My take on 'Shadows' is darker and deeper, with synths that feel almost like they're talking to you, while still keeping the energy of the original," he says.
Two weeks later he lands on a label he grew up studying. 'Sober' arrives October 30 on Don Diablo's HEXAGON, and EdiP joined the label's showcase at ADE in Amsterdam this month. "Getting to experience the label from both sides, as an artist releasing music and now performing with the family, is a really cool moment for me," he says.

The touring map has grown just as fast. September brought his first shows in Asia, in Seoul and Shenzhen. December takes him back to Asia and on to Australia. Then comes his first run across the Atlantic. For a producer whose records made that trip before he did, it feels overdue.
