BLOND:ISH has been announced as Pacha Ibiza’s first-ever female headline resident, some 52 years after it first opened on the White Isle.
The news was announced on Monday, February 10, revealing that the Canadian DJ and producer will helm her own party Abracadabra at the club every Wednesday for 11 weeks this summer.
"We're very happy to announce BLOND:ISH as Pacha Ibiza's first female headline resident," Pacha CEO Aloki Batra said to Mixmag. "Launching on May 21, she will bring her Abracadabra brand to the club for an 11-week residency."
While Abracadabra marks the first female-led party brand to take over a regular slot at the club, the likes of Cassy, Sarah Main, DJ Paulette and Sam Divine have held down successful resident slots on the club's billing over the years.
Pacha Ibiza – which first opened in 1973 – has welcomed residents including Swedish House Mafia, Solomun, Dixon. CamelPhat, and many more over the years.
BLOND:ISH’s residency will go ahead from May 21 until July 30, with the ‘Abracadabra’ party described as a “grassroots movement, community and foundation with a sustainable ethos”.
“I've been going to Ibiza since I was 17, so you can imagine that I’ve been dreaming about a residency, and what I can bring to the island that’s unique,” she explains.
“Energy is everything, and you can be sure that we will bring fresh energy to the island. It’s something you need to experience in person on Wednesdays at Pacha Ibiza with Abracadabra."
In January, Pacha shared details of its 2025 opening weekend, set to kick off on Friday, April 25. This year’s opening events feature the likes of Solomun, Purple Disco Machine, and ANOTR, with more yet to be announced.
Pacha turned 50 in 2023, celebrating with a book titled Pacha Ibiza: 50 Years of Bliss. The book looked back at five decades of the club’s history, including exclusive behind-the-scenes stories and never-before-seen images.
