Today he talks with 6AM about new tracks, shares inspiration, and talks festival feels.
Hi PAXTECH thanks so much for talking to 6AM how are you doing?
Hey guys, thanks for the chance!
I’m good and I’m very excited for this hot summer and for my brand new release!
As an eclectic artist, your sound is both aggressive and melodic. How do you balance these contrasting elements in your productions to create such a distinctive sound? Can you give us a glimpse into your creative process?
It’s a bit hard to explain it, I make what I feel inside me, I let my mind free to create. In general I start building an aggressive and runaway groove, with punchy kicks, rumbles and roll basses, and then I add the ethereal touch. When I make peaktime stuff the hooks, synths and pads are the most important elements of the track, so I try to combine both sides of my moods making a blend of different feelings.
With your new EP on Veerus Le Club Records, featuring 'Evideon' and 'Oniric Disturb', what do you hope listeners will take away from these tracks? How do you envision these tracks being received in both festival settings and intimate club environments?
I hope people are attracted from a different sound, maybe not listened too much in my sector. The tracks are very different: the main one, I think, it’s a festival track, very gritty, strong and modern, the b-side instead it’s perfect for the clubs, because it’s darker than the previous one, it has a more hypnotic/raw mood, even if it has some peaktime elements and melodies, and the main attack is very crazy with his kick solo after the main break.
Can you share the inspiration behind your latest release on Veerus Le Club Records, specifically the tracks 'Evideon' and 'Oniric Disturb'? How do these tracks reflect your unique musical journey?
Well, behind both tracks of this EP there’s a story, they mean a lot for me and I’m very happy to release them on Veerus mighty record label. I chosen ‘Evideon’ name as tribute for a italian scientist, who discloses the truth about space, earth and some life’s events. I started it after a hard month, in the beginning of this year, and I tried to make something not listened that reminds to spatial topics (in fact the main attacks are characterized by a spacey hook) and arouses strong and strange emotions in us. I was very angry, deeply inside me when I made it.
‘Oniric Disturb’ is a 2 years old track, maybe never listened to by anyone; I made a hook which reminds to the mosquitos sound, then I decided to rename it so.
You've shared stages with techno heavyweights like Carl Craig, Cleric, and Spektre in iconic clubs across Rome. How have these experiences shaped your sound and influenced your approach to creating music?
Just talking with these legends your approach is influenced. When you come into the studio, after the gigs meeting, you have a secret and inexplicable power and a right mindset to create new stuff, but you have to pay attention because you could be influenced by their sound. In general when they give you some feedback and advice you cannot be more than happy because just listening to them you are improving your skills and then your sound. I shared the consolle with many big artists and maybe they pushed me to listen to what I had inside of me, so I had the luck to find my right way, build my sound and connect the dark groove with the melodies, expressing myself at 360° in Techno.
Your tracks have gained support from top-tier artists like Adam Beyer, Charlotte de Witte, and Luigi Madonna. What does it mean to you to receive such recognition from the techno community, and how has it impacted your career?
Well, when you receive this kind of supports the first feeling is happiness. You have 5 minutes of adrenaline in your blood then you wanna break everything in the studio making new bombs. The satisfaction to see tens of thousands of people dancing on your stuff is incredible and it’s the key and the power to continue your musical journey everyday. When you are bored and sad you must see the videos of the big supports so you can find again the desire to create new tracks and make people happy, because this is our main goal.
What are your future goals in the techno scene? Are there any upcoming projects or collaborations that you’re particularly excited about and would like to share with your fans?
Mh, my next step is releasing again on other huge labels for sure and playing my stuff around the world making all ravers and clubbers smile.
I have 3 or 4 solo EP’s to submit to labels and I’m planning and starting a pair of collab. I can not add anything more because nothing is sure but we will see what will happen.
Thanks again for your time, is there anything else you’d like to add?T
Thank you again guys for having me!!
