Spotify’s global head of music is stepping down.
Jeremy Erlich will be leaving his position after more than five years at the company, Billboard has reported, citing an internal email sent by Erlich to Spotify staff. The Paris-born industry veteran said he was leaving to pursue an "entrepreneurial journey." He will remain at the Swedish streaming giant until the end of February.
"I’ve decided that it’s time for me to turn a page on this chapter after 5.5 incredible years," Erlich shared.
Formerly chief financial officer and executive vice president of business development at Interscope Geffen A&M Records, Erlich joined Spotify in 2019. As global head of music, he's been responsible for overall music strategy, including editorial, partnerships, marketing, operations and artist relations. A recurring name on the Billboard Power 100 list, Erlich previously worked at Universal Music, where he ran corporate development and strategy.
Spotify has not yet responded to Resident Advisor's request for comment.
