Tomorrowland Main Stage Destroyed by Fire, But Festival Will Go On
Tragedy strikes the infamous main stage of Tomorrowland
Just two days before the official start of the 2025 edition of Tomorrowland, a fire broke out on the festival’s main stage in Boom, Belgium, damaging a significant portion of the structure. The fire occurred on the morning of Wednesday, July 16th, potentially during pyrotechnic testing.

Eyewitness footage shows flames consuming the “Orbyz” stage design, with thick black smoke billowing above the festival grounds. According to local authorities, approximately 1,000 crew members were on-site at the time, all of whom were safely evacuated. No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, though early reports suggest it may have been linked to technical work involving fireworks.
Despite the damage, Tomorrowland organizers have confirmed that the festival will proceed as scheduled. The DreamVille campsite is still expected to open on Thursday, July 17th, and alternative arrangements are being made in light of the main stage’s destruction. As of now, it’s unclear how the programming will be adjusted or whether a new stage structure will be erected in time.
