About The Artists
DVS1
DVS1, a Minneapolis-raised DJ and producer with over 25 years of experience, is renowned for his high-energy, versatile sets that honor his underground roots while pushing the boundaries of sound. Known for his commitment to the electronic music community, he launched Aslice in 2022, a platform encouraging DJs to share a percentage of their fees with the producers whose music they play. With a career shaped by his rebellious immersion in rave culture, Khutoretsky gained international recognition through releases on Klockworks and Transmat, as well as his DIY promotion and sound system outfit, HUSH. His innovative projects, such as the sociological Wall of Sound installation and S.O.S. (Support Organize Sustain), reflect his dedication to fostering community and advocating for foundational dance music values. Whether managing his HUSH and Mistress Recordings labels or spinning rare records, DVS1 remains a purist, blending his Midwest ethos with a forward-thinking approach to music and artistry.
Traxx
Traxx is a passionate and boundary-defying artist of sound, weaving a unique, emotional, and eclectic musical tapestry that resonates with clubgoers and home listeners alike. Rooted in Chicago's legendary house music scene, Traxx was inspired by Ron Hardy and the WBMX radio shows, which shaped his transcendental connection to music. As a prolific producer and collaborator, he has released music on influential underground labels like Gigolo, Relief, and M/O/S under various aliases, including Dirty Criminals and Mutant Beat Dance, while pioneering the distinct Jakbeat sound. In 2007, he founded his label, Nation, to further explore and redefine his analog-driven, experimental sound. His critically acclaimed works, such as the Faith album and numerous 12-inch releases, showcase his fusion of avant-garde creativity with Chicago's house music legacy, all while embracing the raw, emotive power of analog techniques in an era dominated by digital perfection.
