On April 8th Texas Eclipse Festival, an art and music festival surrounding the total solar eclipse event, announced it's cancellation due to severe weather conditions. The festival released this statement:
Dear Texas Eclipse Guests,
We regret to inform you of the severe weather forecast, including risks of high winds, tornadic activity, large hail, and thunderstorms for later today, including during the eclipse, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Your safety is our top priority. With the support and coordination of Burnet County officials, local safety agencies, and The National Weather Service, we’ve agreed to end the festival today in a calm orderly manner...

But even before the festival was unfortunately cut short, there were already complaints from fans and artists that promised accomodations were not met along with poor treatment which gave people Fyre Festival 2.0 vibes.
One example is this Facebook post summarizing this artist's treatment along with not receiving the promised accomodations.

The same artist shared social media posts that stated small tents were given to festival goers when better accomodations were promised- which was even more pertient considering a storm was known to be coming to the area:

However, even before the festival there were reports of artists backing out due to the festival's operations which was very much akin to the now well known debacle of Fyre Festival. One example is the US psytrance duo "Superluminal" who in their Facebook post reads, “Sadly we are forced to cancel our performances at Texas Eclipse due to the organization not meeting their commitments.” Another example is Mexican psytrance artist TRON who announced on March 18 that he was forced to cancel his Texas Eclipse appearance due to the festival's management in this Facebook post.
After the official cancellation of the event, festival goers were advised to leave the grounds however stated that "Guests may stay for the eclipse provided they pack and are prepared to depart after totality".
