Among the promising talents coming from the Brazilian scene, LUMERTZ definitely deserves attention. The artist has built up a broad background that not only embodies his roots in Latin America, but also brings experiences from the international scene, as he has lived in Australia since 2019. In this way, his Techno is presented with originality, combining this multiculturalism with the inspiration of classic Techno from Detroit and Berlin, resulting in a groovy, percussive and hypnotic musical style that takes the audience on a sound journey with his performances and productions.

Further proof of the artist's potential comes with the release of "Exhibit 1", a remix of Slam's original track. This is because LUMERTZ was one of the three winners of the remix contest that the duo recently promoted in order to publicize and reveal emerging artists.

Thus, the track arrives to celebrate the good phase that the Brazilian has been in since last year, when he presented releases for labels such as Tronic and Noise Music, as well as having toured Europe, including a stint at the Amsterdam Dance Event. By the way, the application to take part in the remix contest came after the convention, when the artist was planning the next steps in his career and included the desire to release on Soma Records. By fate or coincidence, at the same time arose the opportunity that opened this door for one of the most respectable labels in the scene.

The winning remix, fortunately, is already here. For his version, LUMERTZ went down a more dynamic path than the original track, transforming the timbres into metallic percussions, adding a hypnotic arpeggio and rhythmic claps and rides, in order to maintain the original proposal, but without ceasing to incorporate his own sound identity. The result is a production marked by variable tensions, which create the sensation of hypnosis, but raise the energy of the dance floor to a danceable atmosphere. Check it out:
