Northern Cold is an American artist based in Seattle, and he delivers a hammering techno EP via his record label EONS.

Onyx is a four track EP with three solo productions and a collaboration with IN_DUAL who is also an American artist living in Seattle.

All of the tracks on this release fuse cinematic tension and exhilarating euphoria with brutal drums and dark atmosphere.

“Setting the Fires” opens the EP with tense pads, before launching into the industrial percussion that binds the tracks on this release together. The breakdown introduces the trance chords that are the tracks defining feature.

“Exposure” follows a similar formula to its predecessor, but with a lighter melody that builds in ferocity during the breakdown section.

“Flux” is the collaboration with IN_DUAL, and it utilises a throbbing bassline and gritty acid line. It’s less euphoric than the two previous tracks, but still has its fair share of hands in the air moments.

“Dead Winter (Outro Mix)” launches into a ferocious groove from the first beat, and its melancholy pads have a spine-tingling emotion, which grows more prominent as the track reaches its atmospheric ending.
