Vladimir Dubyshkin is a name that resonates deeply within the techno music community. Mija’s identity as an artist is rooted in the fantastical and the independent. She is capable of striking the balance between futuristic textures and immediate emotional states, grounding even her most experimental sounds in vivid reality. She has her eyes on the horizon and her heart in the present. Her first EP “How To Measure The Distance Between Lovers” (supported by Pitchfork, The Fader, Vice) cements the arrival of a gravity-shifting talent, as Mija takes full control of her narrative and pushes her sound somewhere utterly unexpected yet totally necessary.

"I incorporate the concept of variance into my DJ sets, using it to create a dynamic experience that oscillates between different sub-genres while maintaining a central theme. Variance, in this context, refers to the deviation of sounds from a central "mean" genre, which in this case is Hypnotic Underground Techno. My sets are structured across three levels: Psychedelic Tribal Underground Techno (Level 1), Hypnotic Deep Underground Techno (Level 2), and Forward Hypnotic Driving Underground Techno (Level 3). Expect a blend of sub-genres, including Hypnotic, Psychedelic, Deep, Driving, and Ambient Underground Techno, resulting in a unique and evolving auditory experience. Enjoy the randomness!"
